What a Tuesday!

Yesterday was a very tiring but fulfilling day. One of my clients had a media conference in the morning, which turned out successfully--we're in all the major dailies today! In the afternoon I went to interview an interesting and admirable couple for my latest book project.

I thank God for the people I interact with everyday. At the media conference I was reunited with my friends from the IT and telco beats. I remembered the happy times when I was still a reporter covering the same beats with them. But at the same time I realized I'm truly grateful that God has allowed me to cross over to the other side and become a PR person. The transformation made me realize so many things that helped me grow in so many ways.

The couple I interviewed inspired me so much I wanted to cry during the interview. I know God sent them my way to teach me simple truths that I have chosen to ignore. They gave me so much hope.

I'm a person who believes that nothing happens by accident and that every person who crosses my path is part of God's plan for me. That is why it really makes me sad that we live in a world that teaches us to ignore most of the people we meet everyday.

We're so busy with our own concerns that we fail to treasure the wealth that comes from interacting and truly becoming a part of the lives of the people we meet. We unwittingly end up losing so much by being too selfish.
