love actually

Went to see love actually with Nanette last Saturday afternoon in Galleria. My verdict: funny, romantic, sad movie. I love it. It reminded me of how good it feels to be in love and how sad it always gets when it's time to let go and move on.

Last time I felt all giddy and excited was just a few months ago. And the last time I had a heart-ache was only two months ago. Yet it feels like it's been such a loooong time. I've almost forgotten how it really feels like. But last Saturday that movie reminded me how love can make one happy, and sad.

Next time love comes my way I promise not to take matters in my own hands. I'll just let it flow, naturally. I promise not to over-analyze the pros and cons of the relationship and just give myself and the person the chance to really grow together. I promise not to be too focused on the red warning signals, but to look intently for the green lights and go where they lead. I promise to be a good girl. I am naman eh. I mean, I can be naman eh. Hindi na 'ko mang-aaway. Promise. (I wish!!!!!)

There's another thing that happened while I was watching the movie, I fell in love. With the guy who played the Carl character. Crispy-licious!

A funny thing happened

A funny thing happened that night. Nanette and Venus accompanied me to interview some guy for a magazine article at this new comedy bar along Morato. After the interview we proceeded to Xaymaca. Indio I was playing that night.

We were seated outside, drinking San Mig light, while talking about about R-rated topics when a waitress approached us to ask if it was okay for some guy to buy us another round of drinks. Sige, go! Syempre. At first the waitress was hesitant to reveal the identity of the guy but we managed to get the info out of her eventually. The guy was too shy to approach our table. Ok lang. hehe.

Then I went inside to watch the band play. And the guy finally had the courage to come up to me and strike a conversation. It went like this:

Him: Ikaw yung nasa kabilang table, di ba?
Me: Yeah. Salamat ha. (Smiling, with my teeth showing)
Him: Palagi ka ba nandito?
Me: Hindi. (Smile ulit)

The End

Hahahahaha. Am I really that intimidating? Grabe naman! But the waiter did ask us again if we want another round of drinks, courtesy of the guy. Somehow it still made my night. Though I don't think anyone would see me hanging out there again anytime soon. haha.

And, oh, I thought I'd finally be able to watch Ian (one of the guitaristas) play. I actually thought I was watching him. Though I wondered why he was playing bass. Turned out it wasn't him. Hahahahaha. Clone nya yung bassist! Buti na lang I didn't have the chance to approach him. Dyahe, I'd be so embarrassed, if ever. Pero PK rin yung bassist ha?! hmmmm.
