Learning German, etc.

I currently have a lot of time on my hands due to several factors that, in one way or another, may be connected to each other: a lull in my career, a non-existent social life, a non-existent lovelife, and an embarrassing, imaginary sex life.

To while away the time I decided I'd focus on three things:

1. Learning a foreign language
2. Taking up a new creative hobby
3. Losing weight

Since I've already been working on number 3, I only had to make choices for no. 2 & 1. So now I'm learning German. I chose German because I think it's the easiest to learn among the major European languages, Kafka is my favorite writer and it's always been my dream to read his books in the original German, and, I used to contribute to this German economic magazine for investors--I'd write my article in English and it would be published in German with my tagline! Right now I'm looking for Germans I can converse with, and who can correct my grammar. After German, I also intend to learn French, Italian, and Spanish. O, di ba ambitious!

I love creating accessories but lately every idle woman I know or have heard of has taken up the hobby so I lost interest. (But I've recently made two pairs of drop earrings made of faux stones for my friend and her mother. They'll wear them to her sister's wedding).

I am now so into creating micro-minis out of old tattered jeans and I just might take up this hobby a little more seriously.

It isn't so bad being an idle woman after all.

PS. I am so disappointed in you. You know who you are.
