Heartbreak, 2 Songs & A Poem

I am grieving over a lost love and writing is one of the ways I overcome grief. Here's what I have as a result of my current situation:

2 Songs:

To Let You Go

I must leave now
But believe I do
Love you
With all my heart

And I will never stop
Loving you until
I've breathed my last

I love you
With all my heart
Yes I do
But I must go now
Don't think
I'm happy, no.
Don't think
I'm happy to go.

I shall carry this pain
In my heart
For as long as only
Time can tell
'Cause now I must go,
To let you go.

So don't think
I'm happy, no.
Don't think
I'm happy to go.
I must go,
To let you go.

Words

Let me save you the trouble
Of having to say:
"I'm sorry
I made you believe
In something that isn't true"

Let me save you the uneasiness
Of having to say:
"I don't love you,
Those words I said,
They don't mean a thing."

Let me say these words instead:
"It's okay, you did take me for a ride
But I'm to blame,
'Cause I enjoyed it"

Oh, please, let me say these words:
"It's all right
Don't worry, I'll be fine,
Before you know it"

Only, we both know,
These words I'm about to say
Yes, these words,
They don't mean a thing
'Cause they aren't true.

And A Poem:

A Goodbye Kiss

You made me happy for a day, yesterday,
And gave me sweet dreams all night long.
But this morning I awoke
To see dark clouds hiding the sun above.
It's almost like the night never left,
Only the dreams are gone.
And I stand here fully awake
Realizing you've already left,
For that exciting town
You kept gushing about, I guess.
Oh, and yes, I shall never forget
You left, without even leaving me
A goodbye kiss.
