Deeper meaning

There ought to be a deeper meaning to everything. We cannot just keep doing things for our own self-indulgence, to satisfy our needs, to fulfill our desires, to get to places we've always dreamt of. We work to feed ourselves, our families. Sometimes we're fortunate enough to find work that we're truly passionate about. Work that really makes us happy. But is that really all there is to life?

Jesus did not need to die on the cross if that were the case. We do not exist to live for ourselves. Neither do we exist to live for others. We live to give glory to the One who gave us life. Unfortunately, we are all too sinful to realize and consciously live by this truth.

And before you start saying I'm being preachy here, let me just say that I'm merely talking to myself. You can just as well choose to ignore me.

Happy Easter! May we find life's true meaning as we go through another easter egg hunt.
