Friends today

We live in a complicated world that is growing even more complicated every day. Take the case of friendships with the opposite sex. Back in my Mom’s time she and her girlfriends have three kinds of friends:

1. PF - platonic friend
   
2. L - non-platonic friend/lover or potential lover
   
3. and an occasional gay friend

Today my girlfriends and I have all sorts of friends:

1. PF – platonic friend
2. L - lover/friend or potential lover
3. XPF – the formerly-platonic friend
4. PFXPFPFA! – the Platonic Friend na naging ex-Platonic friend na naging Platonic Friend Again! (Now this one’s a real friend)
5. FF – I wish I had one hehe (JOKE! I'm a good girl, remember?) ;o)
   
6. KF – kissing friend
7. CF – cuddling friend
8. UFF – user-friendly friend
9. MF – meantime friend (not for me, di ako masokista!)
   
10. KF2 – the kunwari friend (a variant of the UFF)
11. OF – online friend (pang-internet-only friend)
12. WKLWSF - the wish-ko-lang-we're-still-friends
    
13. and the requisite gay friend

BTW, I invented these acronyms, in case you plan to use any of these at least give Ligaya some credit, ayt?! If you think there are more kinds out there feel free to add them in the comments section. Thanks.
