I'm very, very disappointed right now. But I'm glad it's finally over. You can't put another one over me. Nope, never again. Last year was a very costly mistake but it's one thing to accidentally get ran over by a car and another thing to willingly place one's self in front of a fast moving truck. I might be prone to making rash decisions sometimes but suicidal is one thing I'm not.You should know by now that I'm not stupid, or as clueless as I may sometimes appear to be. I was just trying to be polite, most of the time. Unfortunately for you, I know that I wouldn't be making this world a better place if I allowed someone like you to keep on bullying someone like me.
I just can't dig how you can have the gumption to belittle my contribution just like that, when we both know that for all the money, stature, and education that you have the fact still remains that I wrote it for you.

Certain recent events have compelled me to stop trusting people I deemed trustworthy in the past. It's as if God is telling me to stop trusting people I thought I should, and must, depend on.
Somehow I get the feeling that I'm being pushed to rely solely on Him.

How ironic that I watched the movie Closer on the same week that I watched the funeral service for the Pope on CNN. The dearly departed Pope has been praised, and criticized, for his unwavering stand when it came to moral issues. The movie Closer points us to the fact that, among other things, we can't really rely on our feelings to be truly happy--most of the time our feelings only deceive us into believing we know what's right for us. But the truth is, we can't really rely on our emotions and the only thing that can truly give us peace of mind is when we know that we have managed to, or at least tried, to live up to a higher moral standard, no matter how painful it may initially seem.
I'm not a Catholic but I sincerely wish that the next Pope would be as firm as John Paul II when it comes to issues related to morality. The Church should not bend it's rules just because we have gotten the hang of doing what we please to satisfy our own personal interests. Things must be kept in black and white. A grey world would never be as enticing.
